The Accidental Dog Owner - A Happy Story
Not so long ago in a place not so far away there was a guy. He thought he was the last guy in the world who would own a pet. He was a busy guy. He worked hard and played hard. There was no room in his life for a dog and he was allergic to cats, so the thought never entered his mind. Life is strange.
He met a wonderful gal who works in the veterinary field & they got married. On her birthday one year, they brought home Oscar, a wacky little pug. She loved him and he enjoyed how happy Oscar made her. The guy still wasn't a dog lover...yet.
Over time the guy wondered to himself if there were dogs out there that had more of his personality. It would be kind of nice to have a running partner and good buddy. Then on St. Valentine's Day he came home and there was a shaggy black dog - a gift from his wife. He put a leash on him and went for a long walk. He named him Rufus and the rest is history.
Rufus is the coolest mutt on earth. Rufus is tons of fun and a great companion. A big furry, loveable mutt had made the guy's life even better.
The guy who never imagined himself owning a dog now was a happy dog owner.
